Jamie, want to do a preride on Saturday to talk about this?

I would love to, but I actually don't think I'm going to ride this weekend because I still have a sore throat. I really want to ride, but I don't want to relapse on mono more...worst 3 weeks ever. What do you guys think, can we make a Saturday after the ride meeting? I'm really free all weekend, so you guys tell me what works for you. Sorry to let you guys down. Haha.

I'm just bummed you can't go riding!

How about around 1:30 on Saturday? Or we could just call you as we are finishing riding. We could meet at my house because it is more centrally located, and, I have chocolate..
I ride with Clydesdales.

Yes, and if anyone else wants to help begin the process of planning this race, Matt, Jamie and I are meeting tomorrow after the team road ride to discuss some options. If you are interested in helping, call my cell phone 805-458-4401 sometime tomorrow morning for the deets (as Frank would say)

If you need any help I'm up for anything. Personally I'd love to push for Demo if any possibility. But what ever help you need feel free to ask. I know I haven't been around the team much, but I'd love to see ucsc hold a good mtb race. -Kirsten

Epic fail, team. Nobody told Hanns what dates we want, it looks like.

No, nobody got us on the race calendar.

That is what happened and, unfortunately, it was all intentional. More on the reasons over the next couple days.

So uh, whats going on?

So by now I'm sure most of you have heard about the less-than-great financial situation that the team is in going into the coming season. Unfortunately, Carmi, I and others decided that it was in the best interest of the longevity of the team to not put on a race this year. This takes pressure off of both people trying to put on a race with no financial backing as well as the people trying to get donations to keep the team alive. This is by no means a good situation in general, but we're trying to do the best thing for the team as a whole. Sorry guys.

All things considered, a wise decision, so long as that energy is focused on raising money in failsafe ways(as opposed to the holding a race option). Thanks for the update, Sir James.
